The Regional Sales Manager is responsible for developing the sales pipeline and delivering revenue growth for the Chemical Analysis Division's - Measurement Control and Sample Identification (MCS) business unit.

As the Regional Sales Manager you will develop a geographical territory, manage, and support distributors, develops key accounts and use the technical resources to develop new business opportunities within mainly Europe and marginally in Africa (10%).


How you will make an impact:

For this position we are searching for a senior sales / channel management professional that can drive a regional sales territory as well as help develop high level relationships within the Pharmaceutical and Bio-Pharmaceutical segment.

The product portfolio consists of all-in-one Raman spectrometer for in
- and at-line Process Analytical Technology (PAT) as well as handheld Raman instruments for Material Identification. This position requires a focused, motivated individual with the ability to influence stakeholders at multiple levels of an organization.


What you will do:


  • Manage, support, and evaluate the activities of all distributors in the assigned territory.
  • Deliver bookings and revenue commitments for the assigned products and territory to realize annual operating plan bookings and revenues.
  • Fully utilize our CRM system to effectively manage, evaluate, segment, and provide reports on the business pipeline and activities.
  • Participate in trade shows, conferences, workshops and seminars
  • Define and implement new sales processes and capabilities including territory management, key account and channel management and structured sales methodologies
  • Drive direct customer relations with key strategic accounts and channel partners

How you will get here:


Education:


  • Minimum bachelor's degree or in a technical field, Chemistry, Engineering, Biology, Physics or similar.
  • English language is mandatory, additional languages will be an advantage

Experience:


  • Min 5 years of prior experience selling or 10 years industry experience overall in analytical instruments or other relevant experience in the Pharmaceutical and Bioprocessing market.
  • History of success managing diverse sales territories and delivering on commercial sales targets.
  • Experience working within the Pharmaceutical Manufacturing sector will be beneficial.

Knowledge, Abilities:


  • Coordinating and supporting the full customer facing organization including service, order entry, customer support to deliver an exceptional customer experience.
  • Must be highly sales driven and be creative in developing tactical sales plans and executing these in a timely fashion to deliver results.
  • Ability to grow the business by identifying new markets and be able to develop and execute territory plans.
  • Fluent in English language, additional in French, and/or German is an asset.
  • Customer focus, intercultural competence, and a professional attitude
  • The ability to work on own initiative and to meet deadlines and targets.
  • Must reside within assigned Territory.
  • Valid Driving license is mandatory.
  • Experience of using sales database (like SFDC), Outlook, and MS office suite
  • Knowledge on Optical Spectroscopy is an advantage.

Travel Requirement:
Expected travel 50% of time within Europe and Africa
