INSEAD seeks a
Director of Alumni Experiences and Learning to join our Alumni Engagement team.

This is a
full-time, permanent position based at either our
Europe Campus in Fontainebleau, France or our Asia Campus in Singapore.


About the Job


You will be responsible for the strategic development and delivery of an engaging Lifelong Learning (LLL) & reunion programme for INSEAD alumni.

The LLL & reunion programmes are key components of our alumni engagement strategy and will help deepen and strengthen the impact of the INSEAD alumni community so it remains one of the most impactful alumni networks in the world.

Success in this role demands the ability to engage creatively and resourcefully with our alumni, volunteers, marketing and event management teams and faculty.

Your Responsibilities

  • Lead the continuous development and refinement of the LLL strategy and plan, including content, formats and marketing, in consultation with the Dean of Research (who is overseeing Learning Hub and digital), INSEAD Knowledge, HGIBS, the INSEAD centres and San Francisco Hub, to support the achievement of the institutional and advancement objectives.
  • Provide strategic direction and tactical oversight for all content featured at reunions, alumni forums, webinars, online popup programmes, videos, podcasts, etc. This may include conducting research to identify alumni needs and current interests, conducting interviews with faculty, alumni and thought leaders as well as scriptwriting, ensuring content is engaging, wellstructured. Staying updated on the latest developments in management, leadership and ideally also current affairs is a must.
  • Manage and support the Associate Director of Lifelong Learning and inspire the annual alumni forum and the production of all digital learning experiences. Encourage and drive innovation, manage senior volunteers and internal stakeholders outside Advancement (e.g. faculty, EDP, centres, etc).
  • Manage and support the two Associate Directors of Reunions and drive the reunion and class engagement programme. Encourage and drive innovation, work with Director of Events and the Director of Alumni Relations to improve workflow and ways of working between the teams, align with the Development Director in charge of reunion giving on fundraising strategy and reunion priorities.
  • Work with Director of Alumni Relations and develop a plan how to engage and leverage the National Alumni Associations in the LLL strategy and how to leverage the new MyINSEAD app.
  • Identify and collaborate with directors in other departments working on learning innovation. Be curious and continuously explore new formats and tools, experiment with generative AI to drive productivity and develop new derivative products so INSEAD maintains its leading position in Lifelong Learning.
  • Help the Executive Director of Alumni Engagement strategise and implement ideas to grow and measure alumni engagement. Participate in annual budget planning and manage Lifelong Learning programme expenses.
  • Represent INSEAD's Alumni Engagement team by developing, sustaining, and leveraging strong relationships with alumni, faculty, staff and other external constituencies.

Requirements:


  • Master's degree in any discipline.
  • At least 10 years of relevant experience, with at least 3 years with an education institution or nonprofit organization, and experience working with volunteers within such organisations will be required.
  • At least 3 years experience in project management and team management. You will need to lead and collaborate in a multidisciplinary, highvolume global environment to keep multiple projects moving forward simultaneously while anticipating future demands and opportunities.
  • Demonstrated experience in building collaborative relationships in a complex environment.
  • Good planning and organizational skills, understanding of events management.
  • Strong interest in management and leadership topics, intellectual curiosity.
  • Tech savvy.
  • A positive and approachable personality that resonates with our alumni audience, ability to represent INSEAD externally.
  • Excellent written and spoken English.
  • Experience in creating and/or editing educational content (text is a must, ideally also some experience with digital formats).
