Summary of the Role:

Maxeon is looking for financial controller for EMEA region. This role is based in France and reports to Sr. Director, Corporate Controller.


Key Responsibilities:

Provide controllership oversight for EMEA entities for accounting and tax matters.
Manage the legal entities annual budget, and compliance with group requirements.

Business partner to local management team and provide finance & accounting support for go-to-market access for new market entries, including owning the set-up of the financial processes within Oracle and defining the process in the system set-up, including VAT and tax considerations.

Oversee the day-to-day accounting transactions and supervise accounting staff to ensure correct accounting treatment for business transactions and complex accounting areas.

Manage the financial close monthly and quarterly process, ensuring timeliness and accuracy of financial information, and supporting the financial monthly/ quarterly cycle close to ensure accuracy and completeness of the group's and local entities financial close process.

Provide month-end balance sheet and income statement fluctuation reports for entity level reviews.
People manager with team size of 9-10 people.

Ensure timely preparation and audit of financial statements for local entities, and ensure compliance with local statutory and tax compliance.

Assessing current accounting operations, offering recommendations for improvement and implementing new processes.
Responsible to corporate management to ensure compliance with Group accounting policies and procedures.
Manages external auditors and tax consultants, and makes recommendations to corporate management.
Ensures compliance with country and local requirements and advising management on needed actions.
For legal requirements, working with legal teams to obtain necessary inputs.
Any other ad-hoc projects as assigned from time to time.


Required Qualification:

Bachelor's degree in accounting with 10 years or more relevant experience CA, CPA certification or international equivalent
10 years or more Big 4 Public Accounting and/or experience in managing finance teams in a large corporate
Controllership experience
Influencing skills and able to connect across the business
Innovation skills, thinking out-of-box
US GAAP, IFRS accounting knowledge
Passionate, energetic, flexible, and ready to lead
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work collaboratively across the organization
