Job environment

Job title of the line manager: Job title of the functional manager (if any): Responsibilities: To optimize the maintenance of production resources. To anticipate and take action to avoid production stoppages by preventing and resolving equipment failures.

Scope of Activities

To carry out some or all of the following activities: 

• Manage the installed base of equipment and stock of spare parts
• Plan to ensure availability of the skills required to cope with operational contingencies
• Manage the departmental budget and prepare the maintenance schedule
• Set priorities and prepare the maintenance schedule
• Manage maintenance teams and direct maintenance and repair work
• Identify technical solutions for improving equipment and facilities
• Contribute to quality initiatives and the design of new installations
• Monitor regulatory trends in international financial standards, tax regulations and legislation

• Lead and manage a team, ensuring that employee skills are developed in line with business developments and the needs of the organization

The activities are to be adapted for employees on work/study contracts (vocational training contracts, apprenticeship contracts, etc.) to remain consistent with their theory training.
