Overview:


The Service Engineer is responsible for providing proactive customer service and remote technical support for complex problems with a product or its installation.

Provides assistance to product managers and engineers on product problems and product enhancements. Responsible for achieving key individual performance goals for service revenue, order delivery, customer satisfaction and inventory control.

Will also be responsible for special projects as delegated such as implementing new customer management or service tools, new product delivery or developing best practice materials etc.


Responsibilities:


  • Provide proactive customer service and communications to customers, distributors, and internal personnel.
  • Assist or lead a robust order delivery completion, providing summary of work to the Service Management
  • As requested, lead improvement projects to ensure successful implementation and/or utilization of digital systems for customer management and service delivery.
  • Complete regular actions to drive sales and services.
  • Carry out remote troubleshooting for irrigation components and systems to all Rain Bird product categories via Chat, Mail and or Phone
  • Track, report, and followup on product and technical issues using established escalation processes.
  • Support further development of 'for fee services' aimed at enhancing customers software utilization and system use, including database migration, flow management, mapping, agronomic consultation etc.
  • Prepare and conduct training, remotely and in a classroom environment.
  • Manage service venders and 3rd party service providers to ensure correct levels of service are delivered and in timely manner.

Qualifications:

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:


  • S. Degree in Engineering, Agronomy, or technical field (or equivalent experience) plus 3 year's relevant experience
  • Good verbal and written communication skills in multiple languages
  • Customer Service excellence
  • Process oriented
  • Strong International Business acumen and/or a Tertiary Business qualification
  • Previous experience with project management
  • Ability to work closely with colocated and remotely located colleagues
  • Willingness to travel up to 25% of the time

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:


  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in multiple languages
  • Horticultural and Agriculture industry experience
  • Software or script development skills
  • Experience in mechanical irrigation components or Central Control Systems
  • Direct sales experience
