Présentation de la structure

Missions principales

The main goal of the project is the design and the evaluation of the behavior of a SNN with lanthanum nickelate memristive synapses for the first time.

We will (1) build a simple synaptic array of 4x4 L2NO4 memristive devices with access to each of the 16 individual devices; (2) perform electrical characterization of the fabricated devices to optimize the synaptic behavior of the memristive devices and adjust the existing L2NO4 compact model; (3) create an electrical signal generator which emulates the behavior of spiking neurons of the SNN under study; (4) validate the L2NO4 synaptic behavior by emulation, simulation and by electrical measurement.

The hired PostDoc will be responsible for the 3rd and 4th objectives and will use data extracted from the 1st and 2nd objectives.

The post-doc will be in charge of the simulation, test and validation platform.

He/She will be the leading the validation objective of the project, which consists in choosing and implementing the best suited simulation, emulation and validation platform(s), which will allow for the qualification of memristive devices as bio-inspired synapses.

Give feedback to the fabrication team on methods for device optimisation

The post-doctoral fellow will be in constant interaction with the direct supervisors and weekly meetings will allow the evaluation and orientation of the work.

Scientific papers will be written and submitted for review to intrenational conference/journal.

Compétences attendues

Scripting and programming languages (preferably Python and Matlab)
Spice environment and simulations, Verilog and VerilogA, Cadence, gatelevel design
Good knowledge of machine learning and neural network operation and functional emulation
Interpersonal skills, dynamism, rigor and teamwork abilities will be appreciated

Rémunération

A partir de 2395€ mensuel brut et en fonction de l'expérience.
