    Senior Django Backend Engineer

    Remote across Europe with quarterly Paris office visits (fully reimbursed)

    About The Role

    • You will own your work from A to Z: from architecture and coding features to monitoring releases' performance.
    • You will receive fast user feedback and iterate quickly (we update backend multiple times a week).
    • Collaborate with cross‑functional teams (product, front‑end) to design and deliver seamless user experiences.
    • You will optimise existing endpoints, driving down latency and ensuring we can continue to scale to ever greater usage.

    About You

    • 5+ years of experience in backend development with Django and Django Rest Framework.
    • Experience working with a relational database at scale, designing schemas, optimising Django queries, and running migrations with minimal downtime.
    • Hands‑on experience with PostgreSQL/MySQL database larger than 100 GB.
    • Experience designing endpoints in direct collaboration with frontend engineers, delivering both Open API and developer manuals/supporting documentation.
    • Pragmatic, favour speed of iteration over perfection, and leverage frameworks and libraries.
    • Strong sense of ownership, take initiative, and are at ease making product & technical decisions.
    • Fluent in English (French is not required).

    Hiring Process
