Senior Structural Designer - La Ciotat, France - ERSG

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Perform and/or supervise Structural Design, the Associated Drawings, the weight control report, and Material Take-Off
• Used to Offshore Structure (tubular subsea structure + deck/topside structure) and Naval Structure (reinforced Shell panel) from conceptual design to design for construction
• Use industry standard software (AutoCAD 2D/3D, Rhino), a specialized software would be a plus (eg, Inventor, Tekla, MicroStation)
• Manage design including:
• Budget evaluation & proposal preparation together with structural and hydrodynamic engineers
• Internal coordination of the team, including the supervision and mentoring of designers
• Management of the planning, cost/time control aspects to report to Project Manager and meet project requirements and deadlines
• Technical interface internally with calculation engineers and externally with client and reporting
• Participate to maintenance and development of design procedure and related QA/QC
• Involvement in projects for the Oil & Gas and Marine Renewable Energy industries

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

• Experience: Min. 10 years with at least 3 years in a similar position
• Strong knowledge in codes, standards, methodologies, and state of the art structural design approaches
• Strong knowledge in either AutoCAD, Rhino, Inventor
• Good communication skills. Fluency in English is mandatory
