We, Powertrain Engineering France, are proud product owners of Medium Duty engines, conventional and electrical axles. Applications are diverse and visible everywhere in your life. These components are the heart of your city bus, the power generator of nearest hospital or the fire truck you saw this morning

We work as one development team, supporting each other to secure delivery according to a decided product plan. We proactively recommend new technologies for future customer needs.
Finally, as part of the global Powertrain Engineering team, we share some responsibilities or support between sites at needs.
Complete Powertrain is a vital part of Powertrain Engineering, the section has the overall responsibility for the system integration of all components and systems which together build a Complete Powertrain delivery.
Your mission and responsibility?

As Group Manager Data & Simulation, your mission is to drive the deployment of data & simulation for Medium Duty Platform, conventional axles and electrical axles.

You develop a true collaboration with other teams within PE global organization with the ambition to propose, develop and maintain common tools, methods and ways of working.
You will propose & develop new data management to create new services for our brands and customers (trucks, construction vehicles ).
We are looking for a Group Manager to lead Data & Simulation. Your team is responsible for understanding customer usage of our products by support of data analytics and simulations.
Your team is the competence center when it comes to data analytics and Complete Vehicle simulation at Powertrain Engineering France. You are also working in close cooperation with corresponding functions on the other Volvo sites
Customer success and product knowledge are the guiding stars for you and your team. They and I, believe that the best products are delivered together which is why one of your main responsibilities and tasks are to engage, inspire, coach and collaborate with others, both your team and stake holders inside and outside of the organization.
You have employee responsibility for direct reports including recruitment, performance and competence development.
You will lead a team of approximately 10 passionate employees and be part of the Complete Powertrain France leadership team.
You succeed by developing the required stakeholder's network, and by innovating with new methodologies and way of working to improve our performance, quality and development leadtime.

As Group Manager Data & Simulation, you are expected to have:
Master's degree in science or equivalent
Passion for technology
Proven leadership skills
