Overview

Description

The Games Services Operations Coordinator is a person supporting the entire Games Services department with corresponding areas.

This position provides a unique opportunity to be part of the Olympic Games Host broadcaster and to see the operation of OBS from different perspectives.

Duties

  • Coordination of the flow of information among OBS departments and with external providers/ vendors and internal OBS/OCS departments
  • Support to all the Functional Areas in Games Services as required
  • Transport, Accreditations & Uniforms, Food & Beverage, Accommodation (including clerical support duties as assigned)
  • Support to organize OBS staff orientation and training sessions
  • Preparation of all documents in relation to all Games Services related services
  • Communication with the OCOG and vendors on Games Services related services
  • Coordination of internal financial workflows (including invoices, and expense claims)
  • Management of the pool of runners (students) on shift and their assignments to various tasks in line with department's requirements
  • Control maintenance and enforce health and safety regulations
Experience

  • 24 years of experience working in an office environment
  • Good interpersonal, customer service and problemsolving skills
  • Ability to give and follow instructions
  • Ability to manage and organize several tasks within specific deadlines
  • Ability to plan services and then adapt plans to new conditions
  • Knowledge of MS Windows OS, and related software (MS Office package)
  • Ability to learn and operate OBS software tools for fulfilment of their duties (e.g. GRPS, SAP, etc.)
  • Understanding of the travel/event market: flight itineraries, accommodation types, chauffer services, catering operations, etc.

Workplace & Environment

  • Fast paced work environment;
  • Full time shift work including evenings and weekends;
  • Subject to national/international criminal background checks;
  • This is an approximately 9month long positions that commences in January and ends in September 2024, based on the event schedule.
  • Current residence in France is preferred
