You as a Lead Contract Manager, will be part of the Power Grids, Grid Integration (PGGI - HVDC) business based in HE Massy office, France, with analytical, hands-on and autonomous approach, you contribute to the successful performance of Contract Management in the assigned project.

You are a reliable business partner who will be ensuring contract and risk management activities are timely and accurately executed protecting HE's interests throughout project(s) lifecycle.

Your responsibilities- Providing guidance and leadership on contract-related matters to cross-functional project team members. Identifying the contract baseline (including terms and conditions, specifications, drawings, estimate, proposal, schedule and other documents incorporated in the contract) and highlighting areas of opportunities and potential risk. Together with the project director and project planners/schedulers lead and develop the contractual strategy. Preparing and/or reviewing and commenting formal correspondences to ensure the contractual strategy is followed. Within the own assigned portfolio of contracts: (i) Ensuring timely and accurate execution of commercial aspects; (ii) ensuring implementation of HE applicable procedures for contract and claim management, and (iii) establishing and enforcing methodologies to identify, notify, enforce or defend changes / claims (passive/active). Supporting in drafting of Contracts, Subcontracts and Supply Contracts and ensuring that relevant (supply / sub) contracts contain appropriate contract terms to protect HE's interest including flow-down of main contract terms. Ensures insurance provisions within the contract are adhered to and coordinates with Insurance Risk Management. Notifying and liaising with HE Legal to report major claims and keeping HE Legal updated on any critical development during project execution. Seeking advice from HE Legal in drafting, negotiating, and finalizing settlement agreements during the Project Execution phases. Supporting HE Legal in handling dispute resolution, litigation and arbitration proceedings. As part of the closeout process, (i) verifying that all parties to the contract have fulfilled their contractual obligations and there are no responsibilities outstanding, (ii) documenting and communicating to all relevant parties any deficiencies found and (iii) assessing the success/challenges of the contract and determining if there are any lessons learned for future contracting

Your background:

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quantity Surveying, Business Administration, Economics or Law.
Ability to read, write, speak and negotiate in French and English. Any additional language is a plus.
Working knowledge/handson experience on contracts executed under French law within the French market.
Minimum 10 years handson experience in EPC projects within the fields of power generation, substations, converter stations, grid integration, transmission or similar industrial plant within a Contract Management function (with emphasis on civil and electrical installation interfaces). Previous experience in the French power transmission/grid projects is highly desirable.
Demonstrating successful experience in processing, managing and administrating varying sizes, types and complexity of contractual agreements during the execution until closing stages of projects lifecycle. Solid experience in project change management and claim management, handson experience in developing and strategizing extension of time claims.
Ability to interface and negotiate with customers and subcontractors regarding all matters related to contracts and projects including those related to the review and process of changes.
