We are looking for a Carbon Fiber Product Line to join our team in Lyon

Essential responsibilities and duties:


The primary responsibility of the Carbon Fiber (CF) P/L Manager consists in managing the life cycle of a sustainable CF portfolio for the designated area (EUROPE), connecting supply and market demand, and delivering ready-to-sell products to the Sales organization.

He/She will maximize the returns to the newly formed Sustainable Materials Division. The incumbent will operate in constant interaction with R&D, Sales, Finance, Marketing and Manufacturing stakeholders.

Acting as the business owner, he/she will impact the Materi'act profitability by defining the most valuable strategic priorities while ensuring the appropriate tactics are smoothly executed.


Main mission of the role:


In this position, you will:

  • Own price/volume decisions and equip the Sales team with appropriate negotiation parameters, also supporting complex contract negotiations
  • Provide accurate and timely estimates/forecasts for Materi'act financial consolidation
  • Understand competitive environment, cost drivers, raw materials, make vs. buy scenarios
  • Consolidate market supply/demand dynamics for the CF products to drive alignment with the customer facing teams
  • Steer P/L Innovation
  • Align asset capabalities to deliver on customer needs as per Sales and Marketing input
  • Drives opportunity assessment, prioritization, and business case investment justification. including partnering with purchasing, external manufacturing and engineering on asset strategy/investments enabling growth/expansions/optimization
  • Provides leadership with the CF industry players (trade associations, conferences, )

Required qualifications

  • Master's Degree: Engineer, Chemistry, Marketing, Business or Economics
  • About 510 years of prior experience in combination of Sales, Marketing or Product management roles in the CF/Composites industry, ideally in Automotive sector
  • Fluent in English
