    THE ROLE

    CMA CGM's Newbuilding Department orders and supervises the construction of new ships owned by the Group. Your mission will enable you to participate in the successful achievement of the department's two major objectives:

    • ptimise and harmonise the design standards of vessels currently under construction (99 in total)

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    You work in close collaboration with the multidisciplinary newbuilding team, as well as with other CMA CGM Group entities and external partners. In particular, you are involved in:

    Analysing feedback from the existing fleet and defining construction standards

    • Defining initial technical specifications for discussion with partners (design firm / shipyard)

    Interacting with other Group departments to consolidate the technical specifications of the vessels

    PROFILE COMPETENCIES

    General engineering degree (ENSTA, Centrale, Mines, ENSAM, etc.), with experience/qualifications in naval architecture

    Ship propulsion

    Steel structure
    Class rules for steel vessels for container ships (BV, DNV-GL, ABS)
    Preferably experience with a low-carbon fuel project (LNG / H2 / NH4 / methanol) or at least a subject dealing with energy efficiency;

    You are proactive, organised and able to work independently and with several teams

    • You have a strong team spirit and continuous improvement is part of your vision

    You have excellent oral and written skills, enabling you to communicate with all types of people
