Transdisciplinary New Media Faculty - The Art of Code


The Transdisciplinary New Media Department is seeking a part-time instructor H/F for the Fall term 2024 to teach a course titled "The Art of Code." The course provides an introduction to programming for artists and designers who are willing learn and use it as a form of creative expression.

Students will explore generative art, 3D printing, flow-based programming, web as a medium in art, data visualization, and generative performances.

The majority part of the course will be in a lab form where students gain hands-on experience with tools and software.

Students are expected to start small projects during the course and finalize them as assignments. The course includes a final project that students will select one work from previous assignments and develop it further.
