Description
The Capital Manager reports to the leaders of the Capital & Liquidity Management team. You will engage regularly with the senior management (e.g. Comex), legal entities management (CEO/CFO) as well as a wide range of teams and experts across the Group.


The main focus of this role will be on P&C related topics within Capital Management and Liquidity topics, with an ability to develop experience on L&H and Group topics as the team targets an agile organization.


Main responsibilities will be:
Capital management of Legal entities

  • Track solvency of entities and take a forwardlooking view to help planning for capital & liquidity needs and / or remittance potential.
  • Develop and use knowledge of Group structure to adapt recommendations to local context (regulatory, business development, etc.) and local acceptability
  • Build relationships with local management, and provide advice and support to local entities.
  • Prepare presentations and other communications for senior management (Comex, Board).
  • Ensure adequate interactions with other teams (essentially treasury, taxes, actuarial, modelling, pricing, risk).
Liquidity forecasts

  • Contribute to specific analyses on P&C business (e.g. collateral analysis, liquidity, fungibility, etc.)
  • Cashflow forecast: monitor cashflow forecast process & sense check results, provide recommendations on process improvements
internal retro - P&C Internal retro renewals and optimisations

  • Develop technical expertise to support P&C internal retro activity (structure, pricing, analysis of impacts).
  • Make the link with other capital and liquidity management topics with the rest of the team.
  • Get involved with local entities top management (CEO/CFO/CRO/Business teams).
Projects

  • Where Capital & Liquidity Management is leading:
  • Drive stakeholders' involvement and delivery of outputs, coordinate and/or keep them informed through appropriate channels and tools (meetings, presentations, etc.).
  • Projects sponsored by other teams:

Provide support to the projects for Capital & Liquidity topics and ensure that finance/capital management is kept informed and involved in decisions in the project.


Required experience & competencies

Essential

  • 6/8 years in finance department of a reinsurance / insurance company or in an audit firm, preferably in the reinsurance / insurance industry
  • Strong understanding of insurance/reinsurance business and principles, for both P&C business (incl. pricing, internal retrocession, reserving, thirdparty capital). Similar understanding for L&H business is an advantage.
  • Strong knowledge of IFRS and Solvency II regulatory environment. Awareness of financial reporting and solvency frameworks in different regions.
  • Very good communication skills, including ability to communicate with senior management: good listening skills and communicates clearly and concisely verbally and in writing.
  • Team player, collaborative spirit, comfortable in agile working mode
  • Excellent Analytical and Synthesis skills.
  • Strong command of IT tools including Word, Excel and PowerPoint and ability to learn new tools quickly.

Required Education

  • Master degree (equivalent or above) in Finance/Audit/Controlling/Business
