We offer non-invasive medical devices that perform a wide range of physiological measurements for the prediction, detection, diagnosis, and monitoring of chronic diseases.


We are looking for a high caliber individual with a proven track record in the Health Economics domain to join our HEMA team.

This position is a permanent position and is based in our office in Issy-les-Moulineaux in France (in the very-close neighborhood of Paris).


Your role


You will develop medico-economics models for our non-invasive measurements of physiological signals useful for the prevention, diagnosis, and monitoring of chronic diseases.


Clinical Outcomes & Health Economics

  • Help identify indications of chronic pathologies for which Withings' products could have a potential value proposition
  • Describe patient management challenges and pain points for each indication in which Withings' products might have an impact.
  • Identify and assess how Withings' products could solve these challenges and pain points => Identify potential value propositions of Withings' products
  • For each potential value proposition,
- develop and implement health economics models based on relevant clinical trials (or sub-studies) and internal biomarker data with input from consultants and KOLs,
- find existing scientific literature that supports the value proposition and potential the clinical utility,
- or if there is no data or clinical study already performed, define endpoints of a clinical study that would have to be performed to demonstrate the value proposition and justify the clinical utility.

  • Help provide credible clinical evidence and information that address marketing and customer needs.
  • Ensure clinical, health economic and value selling messages are consistent and compliant with legal and regulatory guidance.
  • Facilitate meetings with healthcare professionals, and reimbursement and economic consultants as required to support strategic development or tactical implementation.
  • Communicate complicated matters in a simple, structured way to internal and external customers.

Market Access

  • Create dossiers, presentations and/or other materials to articulate the value proposition associated with our technologies (or related procedures).
  • Promote existing evidence and identify any critical evidence gaps.
  • Serve as technical expert in providing reimbursement information to internal and external (e.g., hospitals, physicians, trade associations, etc.) stakeholders.
  • Identify the clinical and health economic arguments that best resonate with key market access stakeholders in coordination with Marketing and Commercial teams.
  • Make sure clinical trial program design includes market access purposes, by collaborating with the Clinical Affairs.
  • Implement strategic vision on a regional level (EMEA/US/APAC).
  • Manage budget for Market Access within Europe and US.

Health Technology Assessments & Reimbursement

  • Develop and implement reimbursement strategies in 3 toppriority European countries (France, Germany, UK).
  • Establish a collaborative relationship with key French stakeholders (e.g., HAS, DGOS, CNAMTS, etc.) to shape proactively the access environment.
  • Benchmark best practices and interact efficiently with French industrial players (SNITEM).
  • Support the coding, coverage and payment strategy for US public and private payers.
  • Monitor the payers' medical policies and technology assessments.
  • Provide data for health technology assessments at the national level.
  • Analyze potential reimbursement issues or challenges and make recommendations for corrective actions.

SPECIFIC AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Collaborate with stakeholders involved in health technology assessments.
  • Drive positive coverage decisions by HAS (France), NICE (United Kingdom), G-BA (Germany).
  • Develop coverage by Medicare and US private payers.
  • Build a network of KOLs for reimbursement and guidelines.
  • Work with external advisers on obtaining coding, coverage and appropriate payment.
  • Coordinate with Marketing and Clinical Affairs to develop payer value story and messaging.

Externally:
hospitals, physicians, key opinion leaders, trade associations, payers, health technology assessment agencies, as well as contracting consultants.

Internally:
corporate management, finance, marketing and sales organization, and clinical and regulatory affairs.


Key challenges include developing and implementing reimbursement strategies and tactics, and health economic models to overcome reimbursement barriers in Europe and US.


Performance indicators:

  • Countries coverage,
  • Positive payers coverage decision,
  • New prospects and/or customers benefiting from coverage in countries covered

Requirements:


  • You have a Master's degree (e.g. MS, MPH or MBA) or equivalent preferred
  • You have at least 35 years of relevant experience in Medical Device reimbursement projects or consulting
