Responsibilities
Manage the monthly financial statement close process for the EU region
Review the monthly management accounts for accuracy and Ensure the reconciliation of monthly figures to Netsuite
Manage the submissions of quarterly VAT and FCA returns for the UK
Manage the submissions of all other regulatory, accounting and tax filing requirements for entities across EU
Lead and oversee the annual statutory audit process
Manage the preparation and submission of the annual financial statements
Ensure the reconciliation of the group's intercompany balances
Document and improve policies and processes for accuracy, efficiency and internal financial controls
Manage expense reimbursements and policy for the region
Key contact for financial and accounting queries in the region
Lead and mentor a team of 4 direct reports varying in experience
Support the team with ad hoc finance projects
Requirements
Qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA)
35+ years post qualified experience
Crypto/financial services/tech startup experience preferred
Strong understanding of IFRS, UK GAAP and accounting requirements in EU
Ability to adapt quickly and work in a deadline driven environment
Experience managing and developing a small team
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
Previous ERP systems experience (Netsuite) is desirable but not essential
