As a future Responsible Investment Analyst, you will report to Responsible Investment Senior Associate , and you will be part of AXA IM AXAIM Alts - Real Assets.

The candidate will play a key role in supporting the investment and transversal teams in the implementation of the responsible investment strategy for AXA Investment Managers - Real Assets, where we take an integrated approach to RI focusing efforts on three pillars: Decarbonisation, Resilience and Building Tomorrow.

The candidate's main focus will consist in providing insight and guidance to embed ESG in our Real Estate investment platforms (equity and debt). Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Support the definition and implementation of our CRE Debt platform's ESG integration roadmap:
  • Market & regulatory context overview
  • Develop specific guidance, inspired from equity best practice and adjusted to debt context (Sustainable Investment, Taxonomy alignment, ...)
  • Review the need for internal rating methodologies enhancement
  • Participate in key projects including engagement strategy definition
  • Enhance teams' ESG knowledge (investment team, FMCG...)
  • Support in answering to clients and investors' requests
• Help defining the decarbonisation strategy for our CRE Debt platform:
  • Use the knowledge and methodologies built for Real Estate Equity to define decarbonisation approach adapted to the specificities of debt investments
  • Perform market research and peer review
  • Collaborate with investment teams and external consultants to better understand context and co-build the strategy
  • Draft methodology documents and guidance to support the implementation
  • Set up performance monitoring tools
• Support the integration of climate physical risk mitigation in our Real Estate Equity portfolios:
  • Coordinate deployment of our newly selected methodology
  • Support local teams in assessing assets vulnerability and identifying priorities
  • Build documentation & knowledge on adaptation solutions
  • Support pilots and operational deployment
• Ensure data collect optimization & coordination for Equity and Debt:
  • Support the scale up of data automation and assist in the overall data management process across the Real Estate Equity Portfolio
  • Explore market opportunities and existing solutions
  • Help shape data collect operating model for CRE debt
  • Coordinate annual data collect globally for equity and debt
  • Coordinate data audit completion for Real estate equity
  • Perform data control and ensure proper data management
• Contribute to the preparation of the GRESB reporting for our 14 Real Estate Equity funds in scope, to ensure we maintain our leading position of 4-star across all participating funds:
  • Collect, analyse and prepare data
  • Coordinate with various stakeholder internally (fund, asset management, ESG Leads, data...)
  • Support in completing the different sections, with a focus on performance (data completion, outliers...)
  • Review results and identify room for improvement
  • Anticipate change and required actions
• Perform market & regulatory watch and reporting process optimization:
  • Represent the company in mainstream industry groups and initiatives
  • Oversee regulatory evolution and deep dive in operational requirements
  • Anticipate reporting requirements, support initiatives to streamline ESG reporting process and embed them in company's existing reporting tools
• The candidate will also take part in the sustainability team day to day tasks, such as:
  • Provide market research on ESG related topics (carbon, green finance, circular economy, biodiversity...)
  • Undertake research and assist in developing thought leadership topics, developing financial business use cases and assessing new investment opportunities
  • Coordinate with various internal and external stakeholders
  • Develop case studies to demonstrate measurable evidence of actions and progress

Your Profile

Your qualifications and experience:

• Master degree in Finance, Management, Engineering or Real Estate
• Sustainability focused diplomas are favourable
• Prior experience in the ESG department of a financial institution, real estate or consulting firm
• Demonstrated experience in carbon / climate related projects, with an understanding of key frameworks (SBTi, NZAOA, CRREM, etc.)
• Understanding of EU and local ESG regulations (ie. SFDR, Taxonomy, Loi Plage, Decret Tertiaire, etc)
• Experience / knowledge of real estate and private debt / loan investments is a plus
• Previous experience with Deepki is a plus

• Excellent communication skills, both orally and in writing

• Strong analytical and synthesis capacity
• A comprehensive skill set in data analysis, management and reporting
• Superior skill set in the use of the following software applications: Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
• Verbal and written communications and presentation skills
• Creative thinking, capability to develop innovative solutions
• Strong written and oral skills in English
• Any other European language is considered a plus
