Definition:

Coordinate the day-to-day activities of a team of production workers to ensure that manufacturing operations run according to established production specifications and schedules; volume, cost, and wastage targets; and quality standards.

D1 implements strategies that have short to mid-term (1-3 years) impact on business results in alignment with the overall organization objectives.

Responsibilities typically include:

Leads multiple teams and/or multiple projects (multi expertise)
Develops plans for optimizing the organization, function, or subfunction and the talent required to execute strategies in job area
Problems faced are often complex and require extensive investigation and analysi
Requires the ability to influence others to accept practices and approaches, and the ability to communicate and influence executive leader
If people manager, responsible for the development of team and/or project team member
If not people manager, is recognized as an expert in the job area
