Job description:


As a Merchandising Manager, you will lead the initiative from the beginning (instore brief) to the end (deployment of the guidelines to the markets and support on main markets major needs), interacting with internal and external teams/parts/suppliers.

In charge of both the permanent and the temporary activity of the brand(s).


Ensure the successful development of the toolbox within the correct timing (internal forecast system called "Prometheus", plannings, guidelines for the markets 6 months before the initiative) and the allocated budget.


Competition research and analysis is key, to be done ideally every quarter and daily basis follow up of newness in line with the activity inside and outside Coty.

Clear communication and proper approach are key elements for the job.

Her/his presence is required during multi-functional meetings for all contacts update and to report to the Director in case of any issues on production/timeline.


Be the reference contact with the fashion house or licence and marketing for all Merchandising matters and the Director and/or the VP.

Be the expert of the skincare specific needs such as educational information on the point of sale, segmentation, updates, cabine needs, etc


In detail:

1- Creation of the instore brief with the Director, coordinating with internal teams (Marketing, Trade Marketing, MMS (marketing material supply)) to be sent to Marketing
2- Leading the retroplanning of the initiatives
3- Briefing and follow up with MMS
4- Screening files received from Marketing (visual, artworks)
5-Coordinating with internal teams (Marketing, TM, MMS, go to market) support in the creation of Prometheus guidelines to offer a complete menu to the markets for central production elements, shared via MMS
6-Spoke person for MMS for the creation of the prototypes, providing a complete brief related to sizes/materials/mechanism. Follow up with MMS to ensure the timely delivery of qualitative prototypes, respecting the brief and retail needs, until final approval of the elements
7- Quality/technical check over prototypes before their submission to Marketing
8- Spoke person for suppliers (except MMS developments/Prometheus elements)
9- In charge of the relationship and development with the design agencies for the POSM, podium, retailtainement, etc
10-Spoke person with TAG (the internal agency) for the creation and finalization of the instore guidelines
11- In charge of creating board samples
12- Contact with the go to market and the markets for the deployment of the guidelines: in charge of having 1 to 1 discussion with each market to ensure the main principles of each initiative are well understood and treat specifically more delicate points on executions/materials
13- After Prometheus elements production and guidelines deployment, support to main markets in case of major issues, without taking lead if the matter is not under Merchandising team responsibility
14-In charge the cosmetics projects (planograms, grids management, offering, production coordination)
15- Coordination with agency for planograms creation to be shared with Marketing
16-Be in line with the Merchandising budget, reporting periodically (once a month) the status, ensuring no overspending at any moment


17-Managing the events requirement: meetings, logistics, order, agency coordination, internal coordination
18-Lead and manage the project manager(s) according to the team structure


EQUIERED QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum of 5 years previous experience University graduate/ Business School degree Proficient with Microsoft Office and creative software English fluent


KEY SKILLS:


Technical skills:
Strong project management skills and ability to manage multiple projects Technical learning about materials, production technics, printing technics & artwork processes Able to learn how to read technical drawing Knowledge of shoppers, competitors and customers to contribute to brand guidelines evolution and adaptation Knowledge of the Asian skincare distribution would be an advantage


Soft skills:

Business professional, you are also a creative thinker, proactive, detailed oriented and pragmatic with an eye for design, colour, volume.

Good communication skills to handle fashion house/licence expectations, Marketing needs and Markets constrains.
