As a Senior Purchasing Agent, your main responsibilities in the near future include creating and purchasing purchase orders in a timely manner.

You will assist a handful of city teams with their Procurement. In the future you will coach, train and assist the city teams with their procurement needs.


AT SONDER YOU WILL:


  • Be the goto person for city teams and vendors coordinating requests and questions about orders and deliveries.
  • Create requisitions and submit for approval in a timely manner in Netsuite
  • Own communication and the Procurement needs of a few key depts (i.e. Accounts Payable, Legal, IT, etc.) to address any purchasing need and clarify issues promptly
  • Work cross functionally with internal teams.
  • Maintain the accuracy of shared spreadsheets and data entry tasks by sharing workload for the broader team during crunch time.
  • Help with the preparation, installation and rollout of Coupa (Business Spend Management software) throughout EMEA.
  • Coach, train and assist Users but also Vendors to efficiently use Coupa
  • Manage product assortment of vendors used by the city teams within Coupa
  • Oversee supplierrelated activities and their performance to ensure that they are meeting compliance. Also coordinate with these companies to identify any issues that arise and bring it to the attention of the senior management.
  • Assist with postorder issues.
  • Take on additional tasks as needed.

WHAT WE LOOK FOR:


  • A team player in a multicultural team operating from different countries in EMEA
  • Previous purchasing and/or procurement experience
  • Proven attention to detail
  • Fluent in the English and French language with proven written and verbal communication.
  • Speaking Italian is a plus
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and prioritize competing tasks
  • Experience working with excel/ google sheets
  • Experience with business spend management software and proven record of long distance communication is a plus, but not required
  • Experience in Hospitality is a plus
