About the job
The General Secretary Department is recruiting a Junior Food Law Counsel - Dairy category M/F.

The position is based in Gif-Sur-Yvette (91).

The Food Law Department drives the legal and regulatory strategy and provides support to GS&C, R&I and CBU (Country Business Unit) teams to ensure regulatory compliance of our innovations and related communication, protection of company assets, strong and sustainable growth over time.

The Junior Food Law Counsel will focus on the Dairy business. The Junior Food Law Counsel's recommendations must reflect the business needs of the CBUs and preserve the Group's interests.

The Junior Food Law Counsel will be in charge of the Compliance status in all segments of the Food chain, Food classification, composition, labelling and advertising.

The Junior Food Law Counsel provides support to the Global and CBUs teams (GS&C, R&I, C&P, Local regulatory & legal counsels...) for all regulatory matters related to Danone's dairy products within his/her scope.

The Junior Food Law Counsel also provides support to the Global and CBUs for the management of any legal issue/challenge resulting from the communication/labelling or presentation of our products in collaboration with the legal and regulatory manager:

Non-judicial actions (warning letters, negotiations...)
Administrative actions: answer to Regulatory authorities, national bodies in charge of validating advertising
Judicial actions: misleading advertising, unfair competition...
Criminal actions

Your main responsibilities will be:

Advise and monitor Food advertising and labeling issues:
Work on the elaboration of communication related to the brands within your scope with the GS&C (marketing) teams
Validate from a Legal and Regulatory point of view the communications on health benefits and nutritional properties, and sustainability claims linked to our products
Support the CBUS for the claim validation of their communications of their products
Accompany and provide support to the CBUs for the management of any legal issue/challenge resulting from the communication/labelling or presentation of our products.
Secure our products and communication towards the applicable regulations:
Advice and monitoring new product developments and Be the partner of the Global teams to guarantee the regulatory compliance for multi-CBUs projects
Monitor the evolving regulatory environment, and analyze/watch out for coming legislations
Contribute to the definition of Danone policies and diffuse Food Law Policies and Guidelines of Danone to CBUs
Provide Training to our internal clients
Ensure internal reporting and feedback.

About you
With a Master degree in Law, you have at least 4-5 years legal experience, preferably in Regulatory Affairs, Food Law

You have interpersonal and communications skills
You are resilient, determined yet flexible and calm
You develop clear and effective recommendations and crossfunctional effectiveness
You pay attention to detail and are accurate
You are able to manage several projects in parallel
You are fluent in English
