What you will do

Our department,
Combustion and Emission Contol (CEC), is responsible for the development of combustion and EATS systems for Volvo Group's products on Medium Duty engine platform.

We develop hardware as well as the features and functionalities.

We are accountable for the lifecycle management of our products, from advanced engineering, through product development into the maintenance phase.

The calibration team contributes to this development by collaborating with the other teams/functions by carrying out the tests using the different means at our disposal: virtual, engine cell or vehicle.

Your tasks, be brave, will be to:

Work together with a calibration engineer / test engineer
Perform test cells & vehicle activities to reduce emissions
Find the best system optimization
Identify improvement thanks to simulation
Get always in mind the final customer and the environment;
Capture and share knowledge with other sites, Sweden, USA, India and Brazil;
Propose solution to improve our system and way of working;
Adapt yourself to changes and develop performance continuously;
Cook great breakfast on our Thursday morning "FIKA".

Our "perfect" apprentice profile is (because we have to be serious as well):

Engineer with specialization in internal combustion engine or energetic or mechanical/electronics;
Good practice of simulation/data management tool as MATLAB/SIMULINK, or Python;
Daily work with other locations over the world makes English a must;
French is also mandatory to drive test cell or vehicle operational teams;
Organized, rigorous, synthetic, autonomous and love working as a team;
Brave, curious, optimist and always smiling
