  • In this position, the CFO BG will be directly reported to Senior Corporate Vice President & Chief Financial Officer and has a functional reporting to VP BG.
  • The person will be a member of the BG Executive Committee:
  • Business of X revenue 2,5 Md€ (new perimeter, constant metal price, including external sales Lens)
  • 13 legal entities, 25 plants/logistic centers in 14 countries
  • Organigram:
  • 7 direct reports
  • 83 reports in total

Responsibilities:


  • Protects the Group's best interests by challenging business assumptions & decisions
  • Reports and explains in a factbased and transparent manner his/her assessment of key compliance issues
  • Manages local controller teams and monitors efficiency at local level
  • Provides an accurate and independent view of the financial situation of his/her scope. Analyzes and explains financial results, _account closing balances (?)_, forecasts and cash flow generation over reporting periods
  • Identifies & assesses risks & opportunities; mitigates risks, manages crisis and exceptional initiatives at country level
  • Assist the EVP BG on specific tasks/projects: turn around action plan follow ups, project tender reviews, performance dash boards, score cards...

CONTROLLING ASPECT:


Business Performance and Partnering

  • Elaborate the budget for the BG perimeter.
  • Drive the definition of industrial and financial targets in accordance with Group guidelines.
  • Propose monthly and quarterly objectives of OM and WC in cooperation with the sales manager of the perimeter, in accordance with budget assumptions and defined targets. Monitor the achievement through dedicated management routines and react in case of deviations

Ensure a reliable and timely view on operational performance of consolidated BG contribution to Group financial statements:

  • Leading responsibility on key financial processes: Sales / OM /OWC / Capex / Restructuring projects,
  • Contribute to the definition and the roll out of appropriate financial information/performance measurement systems for Project Management in each of the Businesses

To promote innovative analytics methods inside the BG financial teams

  • Defines Budget & participates to the strategic plan:
  • Leading budget process,
  • Contribute to Europe Strat plan exercise.

Identify and deploy appropriate transversal projects to ensure consistency in performance monitoring systems/rules

  • Coordinate actions of the controlling teams
- _Redefine in collaboration with Executive VP Administration & Finance Europe, at group level support expected from hosting country Finance organisations_

  • Is the point of contact of the Corporate Finance team for all financial issues related to BG

CFO ASPECTS

1.1 Finance organization management

  • Defines and drives the most relevant Finance organization to ensure process quality and performance. Monitors and optimizes Finance function KPIs at country level
  • Structures and followsup the implementation of specific strategic projects within the Finance function: restructuring, securitization program, etc.

1.2 Record to report processes and tax management

  • Drives local teams on sites, leads accounting processes & ensures compliance with local and group accounting principles
  • Consolidates all financial information for his/her scope and ensures their consistency at the level of the legal company. Ensures the balance sheet gives a true and fair view of Nexans financial situation in the country
  • Reviews and signsoff on statutory financial statements and consolidation financial package reported to the Group. Reviews and provides all financial reporting required at Group level, in a timely manner.
  • Performs local accounting and tax filings. Oversees all filings / responses to enquiries / documents to be provided to tax authorities, auditors and other relevant bodies. Ensures that tax issues are properly addres
