We create an R&D center and new state-of-the art facility in France (New Aquitaine), with gigafactories to be built in Hauts de France, Germany and Italy.

Job description:

Data engineers collect, transform and store data using pipelines and storage systems.

This involves extracting data from various data source systems, transforming it into the staging area, and loading it into database, data warehouse or datalake systems.

The Data Engineer ensures quantitative and qualitative access to data sources.

He/she ensures availability of data and guarantees the quality of its use in-order-to facilitate its exploitation by Data analysts and Data scientists.

_ Your Main Missions will be to..._

Analyze and organize raw data.
Build data systems and pipelines.
Evaluate business needs and objectives on data processing.
Conduct report on data pipelines and data consumption.
Prepare data for prescriptive and predictive modeling.
Combine raw information from different sources.
Explore ways to enhance data quality and reliability.
Identify opportunities for data acquisition.
Collaborate with data scientists and architects on several projects.
Develop analytical tools and programs.

Profile:

_ Know How_

Knowledge of programming languages (e.g. Java and Python)
Specific knowledge : Nodered, Docker, Apache NIFI, AirFlow, HBase, Hive, Spark, Zeppelin

_ Experience_

Experience as a data engineer or in a similar role
Technical expertise with data models, data mining
Handson experience with SQL database and postgresql

_ Qualification_

Degree in Computer Science, IT, or similar field; a Master's is a plus
Data engineering certification (e.g IBM Certified Data Engineer) is a plus

_ Key behaviours_

To succeed in this data engineering position, you should have strong analytical skills and the ability to combine data from different sources.

_ Some extra skills which could make a difference_

Data engineer skills also include familiarity with several programming languages and knowledge of machine learning methods.
