Missions:


  • Transverse leadership of software developments related to the mechanical behaviour of materials. This covers a large variety of material models to describe stressstrain relationships, damage, and rupture, for various classes of materials, including anisotropic and heterogeneous materials. In this role you will ensure the timely development of new features with a high level of software quality. This will require regular interactions with a team of material experts, product management and support teams. You will also have opportunities to discuss technical topics and roadmaps with strategic industrial and academic partners.
  • Directly contribute to the software development, which involves discussing the formulation of new models, implementing them in high computing performance finite element software, and finally contributing to the software maintenance.

Your Skills:


Technical Skills:


  • PhD degree in mechanical engineering or materials science with a minimum of 3 years of experience in modelling and software development in industrial environment
  • Strong background in solid mechanics, finite element method, numerical analysis, and materials physics
  • Fortran90, C or C++ programming
  • Development experience in a large team, with project management processes and continuous integration.
  • Several years of experience with CAE software
  • Good verbal and written communication skills

Soft Skills:


  • Ability to lead a group, sound judgment to identify, evaluate and correct problems, proactive, autonomous, and highly organized
  • Strong interest for programming and software development
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with ability to work with teams of diverse skills and within a matrix organisation
