Group/Division


The Customer Engagement (CE) team is our field based, customer facing organization consisting of Technical Engagement Managers and Application Engineers.

The team partners closely with our customers to provide a comprehensive portfolio of products, software, and expertise, to help customers manage yield throughout their fabrication process—from research and development to final volume production.

Responsibilities of this group include maintaining strategic client relationships, partnering with our sales team in identifying and closing sales opportunities, ensuring our products meet performance capabilities & expectations, providing critical solutions for improved yield performance, and collecting requirements for future products by understanding customer processes and technology trends.

Partnering with our sales organization and factory divisions, this diverse and dynamic team helps ensure alignment between customer needs and product offerings to maintain a high level of customer satisfaction.


FIELD APPLICATION ENGINEER POSITION OPENING**
WITHIN THE WAFER INSPECTION GROUP


We are looking for a
FIELD APPLICATIONS ENGINEER to provide technical Applications support for the development and implementation of WIG ( Wafer Inspection Group ) products at customer facilities.


Responsibilities include:

Technical Support:
Driving acceptance of new tools at customer sites. Create recipes for regular production support. Develop Best Known Methods for the customer use cases, driving product adoption and differentiate vs. competition. Train operators & engineers on the equipment. Analyze tool performance and work in team with KLA CSEs and TSEs organization on problem-solving on KLA inspection tools. Work on complex problems and develop unique solutions to meet customers' requirements.


Project management**:
Identify and manage priorities and milestones. Develop a clear project schedule and track progress. Work in synergy with defectivity and metrology Application Eng., BU management, and Division. Develop value propositions and effective project summaries for Executive meetings.


Communication:
Establish regular communication with the customer. Present and highlight the system values for customer use cases and differentiate vs. competition. Communicate results and issues with the Division. Provide accurate problem statements when reporting problems. Execute plans of action and collect data.


Pre-sale support:Assist sales and marketing in potential opportunities and/or competitive situations. Helping on brainstorming strategies for penetration of new customers and adoption.


Essential Technical Skills:

  • Knowledge of Advanced Optics technology, Physics, material science
  • IC Process background: previous customer/industry experience is desired. Solid understanding of semiconductor process technologies.
  • Defectivity reduction technique knowledge
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills


  • Project management experience

  • Ability to handle multiple projects in parallel
  • Have a creative thinking approach to deal with new customer challenges
  • Excellent problemsolving skills

Important Skills:

  • Be a driver and influence situations by facts.
  • Successful with multiple cultures environments
  • Leadership competencies: successful execution of projects in highpressure environment

Basic Qualifications:

  • Languages: Fluent English (both written and spoken), French knowledge is a plus
  • Master's Level Degree
  • Ph.
D degree is a plus.

  • At least 3 years of industry experience is a plus
  • Previous experience as Divisional Field Applications Engineer on defectivity is a plus.
