For one of our clients in the environmental sector, we are looking for a Project Expeditor / Quality Controller.

Desired Experience:

Experience in Expediting & Quality Control on international EP or EPC projects, in areas such as water treatment, environment, Oil & Gas, construction, energy, industry, mining...

Dual expertise in Expediting and Quality Control is required for this position.

Mission Description:

As a member of the Supply Chain team on projects, the Project Expeditor / Quality Controller is responsible for ensuring that suppliers meet all contractual milestones negotiated by the purchasing department. They are responsible for coordinating all actions related to equipment inspection and quality control between Suppliers, Engineering, and Purchasing to ensure that ordered equipment, materials, services, and supplies are delivered in accordance with project specifications.

Based on a criticality analysis and the drafting of a quality control plan (ITP), a comprehensive inspection schedule will be established and regularly updated to provide a clear view of the inspection program over 4 weeks.

The equipment concerned includes:

Electromechanical equipment (pumps, compressors...)

Instrumentation,

Valves, piping and accessories, metal fabrication

Electrical equipment

Main Responsibilities

As part of a "Expediting on projects" service, the Project Expeditor / Quality Controller must:

• Ensure compliance with contractual deadlines associated with ordered equipment (Quality Levels QC1, QC2, and QC3),

• Review the contract (Standards, technical specificity, etc.), Order acknowledgment

• Perform a comprehensive documentary review (supplier's and main contract's)

• Provide an update on progress compared to the contractual schedule, track detailed progress of manufacturing, update the schedule based on findings

• Provide progress updates on supplier sub-orders

• Review required tests

• Review packaging and shipping instructions

• Manage various issues, analyze any potential delays

• Follow up with suppliers on deadlines

• Inform the project management (Supply Chain Project Manager (SCPM) and the Project Manager (PM)) of any identified delays

• Maintain order progress to identify any deviations from the initial delivery schedule and propose corrective actions

• Weekly synthesis of critical points on the project or "Warning Sheet" with proposals for corrective actions for the SCPM / Buyers / PM / or Suppliers ... & others)

• Organize expediting missions at suppliers

• Develop indicators on supplier deadlines and/or corrective/preventive actions, define priorities, and suggest ways to reduce deadlines

• Provide supplier statistics mainly for supplier delay KPIs followed in coordination with Expediting

Deliverables:

• Expediting report(s)

• Update of an Expediting tracking table and the SCPM Dashboard of tracked orders

• "Warning Sheet"

As part of an "inspection and quality control" service, the Project Expeditor / Quality Controller must:

• Review and validate supplier quality control documents: quality control plan, test procedures, welding procedures, conformity certificates, etc.

• Coordinate other quality inspectors involved in the project and ensure they are provided with complete and up-to-date documentation for equipment, materials, and services inspection

• Ensure follow-up of issue resolution and inform the SCPM for coordination with teams under the authority of the PM

• Ensure that the ordered equipment meets the quality required by the main contract mainly for:

• Required materials

• Quality of work (welding, coatings, etc.)

• Compliance with plans

• Compliance of test and inspection results (according to values specified in the Technical Specifications) + applicable standards and rules of the art in force in the countries concerned.

• Manage follow-up and resolution of non-conformities

• Various specific points required by the inspection program

Deliverables:

• An Inspection Report and a CIF (Final Inspection Certificate) are issued to authorize delivery to the construction site.
