Airbus Helicopters is looking for a
Product Lifecycle Management Methods & Tools Business Analyst (f/m) to join our Design Office based in
Marignane, France.
You will join the Engineering Operations Enablers department being part of the Process, Methods & Tools for Engineering team.


The mission of the department is to deliver enablers to boost the efficiency in Engineering while providing added value to our customers, in terms of Strategy, Transformation, Processes, Methods and Tools, and Ways of Working.


The department provides an End-To-End vision and transversal project management of needed enablers while fostering local initiatives within Engineering departments.


We collaborate with and work closely with Information Management, Central Transformation and Digital Transformation Office organizations to lead business transformation within Airbus Helicopters Engineering.

Your tasks and responsibilities:

End To End (E2E) Configuration squad delivers all necessary digital products, systems or services needed by the Engineering lead functions to achieve its operational objectives in front of all Helicopters (H/C) programs

Product Lifecycle Management is at the hearth of the Helicopter digital transformation


As Methods & Tools Business Analyst, you will

  • Translates the business needs into IT requirements and proactively identifies opportunities for business transformation or improvement enabled by technology.
  • Develops a solid understanding of the customer's existing business and business processes ideally endtoend, the key drivers and measures of success for the business, and the short
- and long-term direction of the business and related technologies.

  • Formulates functional and nonfunctional requirements of the business organization and advises on the lifecycle of the information solutions.
  • Evaluates the impact in terms of change management.
  • Collaborates with the IT Product Manager while ensuring that the developed solutions are inline with evolving customer needs.
  • Conducts indepth discovery meetings, targeted at understanding, capturing, and identifying the complex business requirements and operational objectives of the customer, with recommendations on automation.
  • Identify areas for improvement in business processes providing possible IT solutions compliant with the IT strategy.
  • Supports the IT Product Manager in the Product/Service Planning based on the customer requirements.
  • Produces documentation of current challenges, future requirements, and benefits in a manner appropriate for the customer.
  • Defines and develops the required specification documents to be reviewed with stakeholders and Product team members.
  • Monitors external business trends in order to better challenge the business requirements.
  • Serves as liaison between Product Management teams and technical resources during product development and implementation to ensure integrity of the solution delivered

Desired skills and qualifications:


  • 5 years educational degree in engineering
  • Background in Process, Methods & Tools, related to PLM (detailed design, configuration management, certification,)
  • Experience on Design activities and definition dossier in an Engineering Office, ideally in the aeronautics industry.
  • Knowledge in process modeling
  • Excellent Communication Skills
  • Curiosity, Solution Oriented
  • Fluent in English
  • Ability to work in transnational environment
  • Open, problem solver mindset, ready for innovative concepts
