Role

Identify and develop new business opportunities in order to bring additional and sustainable growth for Plastipak.

Will be responsible to select and target new markets and segments as well as market Plastipak new products and technologies.


Responsibilities:

Under the supervision of European Sales & Marketing Director and in coordination with Local Sales Teams and Key Account Managers:

  • Evaluate the market to identify new segments that could be a good fit for Plastipak existing technology and capabilities.
  • Identify market opportunities for new Plastipak innovative technologies and materials
  • existing or under development.
  • Work with Plastipak Packaging Development Centers to serve future technology trends and actively promote innovation.
  • Follow industry trends internationally. Coordinate sales and marketing activities in order to support above responsibilities (internal and external marketing channels, sales tools developments, trade shows, etc )
  • Identify and seek new business partners (Companies, organizations, institutions). Network and develop relations serving role objectives.
  • Set strategic plans for new business development including: Comprehensive market analysis, forecasts and volume projections, price models and margin analysis. Review regulatory restrictions and make a risk assessment. All this will require coordination with other corporate functions (Finance, Marketing, PDC, legal, ESG) working under cross-functional groups.
  • Results monitoring: Develop business reports on new revenue streams, new products and new businesses.
Background- Education: Sales and Marketing / Engineering- Experience required: > 5 years
