The Role:
We're hiring an Operations Executive to join our Operations team in Lyon, France.


What you'll be doing:

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Handle import and export of various shipments:

  • Airline booking
  • Pricing and cutting MAWBs
  • MAWB preparation
  • Packaging & labelling check
  • Shipment processing
  • Monitoring of security check
  • Prepare customs export documents
  • Extensive communication with external service providers and government bodies
  • Check postflights
Monitor and update our controlling office Domestic Agents daily activities:

  • Make arrival notice
  • Export manifest
  • Provide them daily support and follow up
  • Enter operational datas/infos and update our IT systems

Dispatching functions:

  • Dispatch of pickup and delivery jobs
  • Route planning & estimating transit times
  • Communicating to drivers the relevant information appropriate to the consignment
  • Organize domestic and international road transports
  • Liaise with our sub contracted drivers, airlines, handling agents, customs officers & customers
  • Follow up on shipments while the goods are in the custody of the above partners
  • Monitor and track ongoing shipments, react to any deviations
  • Communicate with all other world courier departments
  • Update of our IT systems
  • Verify and approve invoices
  • Temperature control management of shipments (replenishment)
  • Ensuring that systems are updated throughout the delivery process
  • Foster excellent relations with all customers and promote the professional image of our organisation
What your background should look like

  • Knowledge & Skills:
  • Fluency in English and French (Essential)
  • Professional and confident presentation skills
  • Proficiency with working tools such as PowerPoint Excel and Word
  • Strong communication skills both verbal and written
  • Ability to independently manage multiple tasks, work under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Able to provide relevant adhoc information on request
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
