Who are we ?
Are you looking for a apprenticeship as part of your engineering school?

As part of your apprenticeship, you will join Renault Trucks' Demand Inventory Planning & Operational Planning team within the Volvo Group.

The team is responsible for managing inventories and sales forecasts for the brand's spare parts for its central distribution warehouse in Lyon, as well as for its European support warehouse.

As part of the team, you will support your colleagues on a daily basis in operational tasks and continuous improvement, in a dynamic and innovative atmosphere.


What you will do

  • Section Demand & Inventory Planning (DIP) _
  • Examples of operational missions on which you will be involved:
  • Daily handling of availability losses
  • Management of endoflife parts
  • Monitoring and improving forecast quality
  • Maintain demand history
  • Continuous improvement activities:
Optimizing the selection of the best forecasting method:

  • Study of existing systems (forecasting methods, settings for these methods and their automatic selection)
  • Understanding what has been done in the US (benchmark)
  • Analysis and parameterization of "Profile for Automatic Model Selection" for RT
  • Section Operational Planner (OP)_
  • Carry out the daily operational tasks of deploying parts from the central warehouse to the support warehouses,
  • Carry out commercial debaptising of remanufactured parts.
  • Continuous improvement activities:
  • See how to optimize/improve deployment quality (Stock Holding Policy settings, etc.),
  • Detailed performance analysis to find the optimum balance between storage and transport costs.

Who are you?
We are looking for a person with a strong drive, willing to learn every day, at ease with an international environnement and who like to work cross functionally

Hard skills:

  • Basic programming skills (Python, VBA, SQL, etc.)
  • Good knowledge of Excel (Microsoft Office Suite)
  • Good level of English (written and spoken)
  • Knowledge of the supply chain (demand forecasting, inventory management)
