Foundational Products & Chapters is part of Technology, a function within Volvo Group Digital & IT with a big stake in the Group's digital transformation.

Technology will modernize Volvo's core digital backbone making it a platform for digital products.
Foundational Products & Chapters are responsible for API & Integration, DevSecOps, Cloud and Development Platforms.

Our Foundational IT products are used by digital product teams and enable them and their products to outperform Volvo's competitors.

Our digital talents develop capabilities and digital technologies to improve business performance and create value for the Group with speed and at scale.

We collaborate with other parts of the organization, both in Group IT, with TD/BAs and Group Functions. We foster an environment where ideas, thoughts and opinions can be shared. We are team players with clear common ambitions, and we win together.


This is how you could make an impact

Your key responsibilities

  • Work with DevSecOps teams to oversee and facilitate code releases or deployments on a CI/CD basis.
  • Identify repetitive tasks that slows down the releases and supporting the automation of these to reduce team's workload.
  • Structure and optimize release cycles by removing hidden time drains, and introduce new ways of moving the process along (new software, for example)
  • Monitor production and report/ provide feedback from production to reduce 'time to detect' (TTD) and 'time to minimize' (TTM) the errors
  • Drive and Implement Devops using Automation tools, Source Code Control, Containerisation software, Configuration Management tools, Repository Management Software and Project Management tools
  • Drive towards an efficient IT infrastructure to reduce time to market
  • Drive that knowledge of security issues and product performance in operations is shared with the whole team
  • Responsible for implementing a securityfocused DevOps (DevSecOps), keeping security central in teams work, including automation of key processes, release schedules and infrastructure design
  • Ensure that software meets security standards and ensure integration of security measures from the start of development
  • Ensure that security vulnerabilities are assessed and fixed during development
  • Fostering collaboration within the team, encouraging knowledge sharing and driving towards Tshaped team members

To be successful in this position we believe you have a university degree or equivalent, and several years of experience.


  • Experience in Azure Cloud platform including Azure CEP, certificate is a plus
  • Selfmotivated working independently and as part of the team
  • Work with stakeholders to develop requirements and deliverables
  • Develop, document and implement CI/CD strategy for various platforms and technologies ( inc. Java,.NET)
  • Experience and knowledge around vulnerability management and security automation (SAST, SCA, DAST, container vulnerability)
  • Identify requirements, define and implement SDLC including branching strategy, collaboration, quality assurance of the code, release management, deployment strategy
  • Incorporate best practices and standards across SDLC process automation
  • Knowledge and hands on experience on monitoring, measuring operational effectiveness
  • Hands on experience in Docker Container platform (OpenShift, AKS or ECS)
  • Hand on experience in code repository / CI&CD including Github Actions, Azure DevOps Pipelines, Gitlab and other
  • Experience with OS security involving Active Directory, Windows networking, Group policies, DNS, PKI and Certificates
  • Has familiarity with Linux, Database and Application server's administration in production environment.
  • Experience in scripting languages like Powershell, Bash
You will be part of the Foundational Products & Chapters Team and report to the Chapter Lead DevSecOps engineer.
