With a growing corporate client base (250+ and counting) - our diverse team is headquartered in Paris and operates out of our 12 global offices in
North America, Europe, Australia, Singapore, and Hong Kong.

ABOUT YOUR ROLE

Due to our consistent growth, we are seeking to expand our Data, Software and DevOps team and we are searching for a Product Owner.

You will report to the Product Manager.

As a Product Owner:

Your role is transversal and includes operational and strategic missions ;
You join a fast growing team in a fast growing company, with the opportunity to play a part in a strategic project at the center of Descartes' future developments;
Your position is central and requires to communicate daily with the different teams to understand the business needs.

KEY MISSIONS

You understand and know our users: to be their voice, you will have to exchange very regularly with them and take into account the feedback from the business development, operations, finance, underwriting, R&D teams;
You support delivery: writing User Stories, presenting them to developers, monitoring and testing developments to ensure that what is delivered brings maximum value to our users;
You measure the impact of your work: you will have to monitor the performance of your products, to measure successes and failures, and support your iterations with tangible elements;
You carry the product vision within Descartes: to involve your team and the whole company in the product vision, you will have to communicate internally about your products, their evolutions and the vision they carry;
You participate in the definition of the roadmap: you propose and prioritize future improvements on your products, new features or new products.

**ABOUT YOU

EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS

Graduated from a Business or Engineering School ideally with a quant profile (eg: specializations in Data Analytics, engineering sciences, risk management, operations, banking, insurance );
2 or 3 years' experience in either product ownership or consulting (preferably for insurance).

SKILLS

Entrepreneurial spirit;
Good understanding of the best practices and technical landscape of the entire development software lifecycle (Cloud, CI/CD, microservices );
Good communication skills;
Fluency in French and English.
