    Job Title : Technical Sales Engineer

    Division : Weir Minerals

    Location : France, St Priest, remote

    Purpose of Role:

    The objective of the sales engineer is to develop a portfolio of prospects and customers in a geographical area of assignment. Within the framework of the Company's commercial policy, in particular with regard to the pricing policy and the annual budget defined by the Sales Team Leader for the sector, it must ensure the achievement of the sales figure and the contribution target in the best economic conditions.

    The successful candidate must be familiar with the minerals, industrial and quarrying sectors.

    Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute a customer-centric action plan in alignment with Weir's commercial policy.
  • Engage in customer visits and trade shows to effectively showcase products, ensuring clear communication of features.
  • Negotiate contracts with a focus on technical and commercial compliance, guided by the Sales Team Leader's instructions.
  • Manage equipment offers, provide follow-up support, and report regularly on activities.
  • Maintain accurate customer and sector files, updating Salesforce, and conduct proactive visits to address product issues and stay informed about company structural changes.
  • Demonstrate 100% commitment to our zero harm behaviors in support of our drive towards developing a world class safety culture.
  • Job Knowledge/Education and Qualifications:

  • Prior experience in a similar field or proven experience in an external technical sales role
  • Good working knowledge of major related industries, including sand and gravel, mineral processing, and industrial applications.
  • Experience face-to-face visits with clients
  • Preferably, have knowledge and service experience of mineral processing technology
  • Ability to communicate in English (written/spoken)
  • Proficiency in Office 365 IT
  • Working knowledge of Salesforce or similar CRM
