We are currently looking for a Welding Supervisor to join our Team at Sizewell B.
Main Responsabilities
Allocate and monitor welding related tasks to those under
his control to achieve the required levels of performance
and productivity.
- Completion of site welding quality records and traceability
for consumables, materials and plant items.
- Estimating, ordering and deployment of welding related
consumables and equipment.
Implement safety procedures e.g. risk assessments,
method statements, permit to work, Improvement
- Observation process etc
- Oversee welding consumable control and welding stores.
- Complete pre and post weld inspections of weld and
equipment set-ups to ensure compliance with specified
standards, procedures and Work Instructions.
- Monitor Hazard awareness, including continuously
reinforce Focus2Zero message for all site activities
- including error traps and Focus2Zero Error Prevention
Tools.
- Liaison with sub-contracts/commercial function to define
Main Accountabilities:
Delivery of toolbox talks.
- To ensure site leadership for the deployment of welding
operations and welding performance.
- To ensure that all site operations under their supervision
are carried out in a safe manner free of risk to all
members of the workforce.
- To plan, organise and execute the work within their scope
to achieve the required level of performance and
productivity.
- To complete those administrative tasks required under the
scope of the contract.
- To assist the Resident Engineer, Senior Section Engineer
and other Supervisors to ensure the operational methods
are employed to carry out the required works.
Education & Qualification
Full Apprenticeship in relevant trade or NVQ 3 or equivalent in Welding
- ECITB SMTD Modules as required
- CCNSG Safety Passport or IOSH Managing Safely or NEBOSH Cert
CSWIP 3.1 Welding Inspector
- NVQ / QCF 3 (or above) in Supervisory Management
