We are looking for a

HTML Web Scraping Developer to join the

Data Extraction team within the Sales Preparation domain and Sales Management tribe of

vpTech (the IT Community of Veepee).
The HTLM Web Developer will aim to configure and supervise a set of website extractions, on a recurring basis. It is the basis of the data value chain.

Responsibilities:

-
Configuration of extractions:

Sharing of the "backlog" of configurations to be carried out, in connection with other Data Extraction Experts of the team and the team manager;
Continuous configuration of new extractions on the internal tool.

- **Continuous data extraction**:

Autonomous and daily management of a set of extractions;
Proactive identification and correction of various errors.

- **Training and knowledge sharing**:

Proposed improvements to be implemented on the scrap and IA interface to continuously improve operations: UX/UI, error management;
Training of new Data Extraction Experts;
Mutual assistance within the team in the event of peak load;
Sharing of expertise accumulated during configurations and extractions.

- **Continuously improving the quality of extracted data and associated operations**:

Configure matching rules for new brands and new countries extracted
Maintain the quality of the matching (monitor the improvement of the matching rate, limit the number of multimatches, switch from model rules to reference rules, identify and correct operations with 0 results, etc.)
Act as the link between the configurations and the matching (adjust the matching rule if the brand's site is transformed, report errors or configuration changes to the teams based on the offer files received by the sales staff).

Your profile:

You ideally have BAC+5 type Engineer / developer training
2+ years of professional experience
Strong appetite for coding (HTML/CSS/JavaScript/REGEX/XPATH, XHR/XML queries)
Fluency in both English and French (written & oral)
Proficiency in HTML and CSS
Mastery of JavaScript languages (ability to write scripts)
Knowledge of XHR requests
Proficiency in SQL.
