Cross Functional Team Leader - Automotive engineering

Within CAB Engineering, our team made up of experienced engineers focused on present and future technological challenges, will allow you to evolve in a friendly atmosphere stimulated by the search for performance in the service of the customer.

We operate in an international context and interact on a daily basis with our colleagues within the group (Sweden, India, USA) as well as with our suppliers.

The Cab Interior teams in Lyon are responsible for developing:

The Driving Station functions
Driving: these are all the components that make up the vehicle's driving station. (Cockpit / seats / pedals / steering wheels, etc.)

Life on Board

Living functions: these are all the components of the interior cabin layout outside the driving area and which contribute to the driver's life on board. (Storage / upholstery / berths / interior lighting, etc.)

As a Multi-Functional Team Manager, you will be in charge of the team's project portfolio and the coordination of all product developments.

In particular the interior layout of the cabins on our Renault Trucks vehicle ranges and more broadly on Volvo group products.

You will ensure cross-functional leadership of the team's projects in close collaboration with our engineers and our purchasing, factory and after-sales partners.

You will be responsible for consolidating our product projects (Quality/Costs/Deadlines/Service/Environmental impact).
You will interact on a daily basis with the team manager (Product Manager).

Your experience will allow you to actively participate in the continuous improvement of our processes and tools, in particular on the timing of our development loops and interactions with our governance bodies.

You will be located on the Lyon site and will have the opportunity to travel occasionally in France and internationally.

Engineer or equivalent in mechanics, you have:

A first confirmed experience in the engineering of mechanical and/or plastic systems, ideally acquired in the automotive field (3 years or more).
A very strong interest in technical developments and the search for the best compromises
A desire to lead crossfunctional meetings with the aim of obtaining everyone's support for the chosen solution
A good capacity for synthesis
Oral fluency to represent the crossfunctional team in steering/decisionmaking bodies
Good command of English
Good mastery of the office pack tools
