The Yard VFX is an independent creative visual effects studio founded in 2014 and dedicated to feature films and episodics, based in Paris, Montpellier and London. The studio offers Creative Consulting, Supervision, 3D image creation and integration, collaborating with clients including MARVEL, DISNEY, NETFLIX, AMAZON, FOX, PARAMOUNT, LUCASFILM.

In a period of growth, The Yard VFX is evolving and strengthening its teams to handle international projects. We are looking for a VFX Supervisor to join the team.

Position Description

As a VFX Supervisor, you are responsible for delivering the projects assigned to you by leading the dedicated teams. You act as the liaison with the client/director to capture the desired artistic vision and convey it to the teams. During production, you will supervise the shows from both artistic and technical perspectives and work closely with the producer to meet delivery deadlines within budgetary constraints.

Main Responsibilities

• Establish feasibility approaches and means of developing the client's vision in collaboration with other supervisors;
• Ensure adherence to the client's artistic direction;
• Maintain a critical eye to ensure the work is of the highest quality;
• Supervise the team on an artistic level;
• Conduct dailies;
• Present the team's work to the client and participate in client meetings;
• Gather and analyse client feedback and communicate it to relevant departments;
• Participate in the bidding phase in collaboration with production and help evaluate the time and resources needed to meet the client's needs;
• Advise and support producers and the Head of Production in developing the production schedule and assigning resources according to deliverables.

Required Skills

• You are passionate about film and visual effects with at least 5 years of experience as a VFX Supervisor, with international experience;
• You have a thorough understanding of the visual effects creation process and CG pipelines;
• You have solid knowledge of 2D/3D software (Maya, Houdini, Nuke, etc.);
• You are a receptive supervisor with demonstrated ability to manage and guide a team;
• You have excellent organizational, prioritization and communication skills;
• You are fluent in English and French.
