How you will contribute


You will develop and ensure the implementation of legal strategies to enable Mondelēz International to compete aggressively, and protect our people, assets and reputation while complying with legal requirements and standards of ethical conduct.

You will provide guidance and support to ensure managers are making reasonable and informed decisions regarding legal risks; manage the legal strategy with outside counsel, including spending without compromising financial and reputational risk; and provide in-house and external legal expertise to address the increasingly complex legal environment by partnering with business units, regions and global stakeholders to identify and advise on applicable laws and regulatory changes for a given country and/or across multiple countries.

In this role, you will assist Senior Director Competition & International Sales (based in Zurich) in supporting the Central Sales team in managing our International Customers, Buying Alliances and Global Discounters.

European retailers are increasingly leveraging their international footprint and are joining up more and more in multi-national buying alliances.

As a result, there is a growing need for additional legal support for the Central Sales team to allow them to land their customer agreements across multiple countries.

Under the direction of the Senior Director Competition & International Sales, you will assist with a mix of International Customers, Buying Alliances and Global Discounters while also helping support the growing RGM team as well as the MEU e-commerce team.


How you will contribute
Under the oversight and guidance of the Senior Director Competition and International Sales, you will:

  • Provide strong and pro-active legal advice on customer negotiations across the countries by liaising with the both legal and business colleagues in country;
  • Help develop with the business a negotiation strategy to ensure that management is making reasonable and informed decisions regarding legal risks and present it to all levels of the organization;
  • Closely partner with the RGM and eCommerce teams on all business matters;
  • Review independently complex crosscountry customer agreements.

What you will bring
A desire to drive your future and accelerate your career with experience and knowledge in:

  • A post graduate degree in law, with strong contractual drafting skills both in French and English and high attention to detail
  • A very good understanding of French retailers and specific French laws
  • Significant experience in reviewing customer agreements and involvement in customer negotiations, assessing the legal context and advising the business teams on the negotiation strategy and dealing with customer conflicts
  • Ability to navigate in a crosscountry customer negotiation environment and to present at all levels of the organization, especially senior management, in a collaborative environment
  • Proactive style with ability to reply quickly to incidents while maintaining a sense of collaboration
  • Problem solving to ensure timely resolution of challenges
  • Working well under pressure, managing multiple priorities, dealing with ambiguity, and the willingness and ability to learn
  • Ability to deliver results through effective collaboration and teamwork.
