Here is your future team

Part of Volvo Group Trucks Purchasing division, the Purchasing Strategy & Digitalization team is constituted by 40+ business improvement leaders, digital product owners, purchasing specialist located in France, Sweden, North America and India.

This team excels in identifying, analyzing, developing, and improving Purchasing solutions and ways of working to drive efficiency, harmonization, and best practices in support of the Purchasing strategic priorities.


Our team is driven by the willingness to support each other in the challenges we face, share best practices, and achieve our goals together.

We are looking for an apprentice able to reinforce our team from September 2024.
We are located in Saint Priest (France) well connected to Lyon's public transportation.
The apprenticeship duration and modalities could be adjusted based on your school's constraints.


Who are you?:


  • We are looking for a strong and flexible team player, eager to learn and improve.
  • You have a cando approach: you have a positive mindset, high level of energy, and you are ready to tackle challenges,
  • You demonstrate good communication skills and comfortable in crossfunctional and multicultural setup,
  • You are fluent in English,
  • You have strong interpersonal, collaboration & networking skills you are a true connector
  • You enjoy managing several parallel activities and you have some project management experience
  • You are following a business school / Purchasing Master education.
  • You are about to start your 1st or 2nd year of Master Degree (The position is for 1 year with possible opportunity to extend 1 more year)
  • Former experience in Purchasing, technical background or automotive experience are a plus

What you will do:


  • Your key responsibilities will include the following activities:
  • Coordinating cross-functional discussions to define or improve processes
  • Communicating & handling some change management activities towards Purchasing organization
  • Taking part in benchmarking activities if applicable
  • Supporting setting up risk management end to end process in Purchasing activities
