The Business Division Project Operations is specialized in the Process licensing, in the design and supply of process furnaces and modular units for our customers' refineries and petrochemical sites.

Within this Business division is carried out the execution of the products, from design to start-up at customers.


The Engineering department is responsible for engineering studies on these projects as well as technical support for the development of new equipment sold by the company.


Missions:


The Instrumentation Specialist is involved in the design, specification and development of the measurement, process control and safety systems associated with Axens processes.


As a technical referent for instrumentation and process control within Axens, your mission is to support various departments including subsidiaries.


Working in cross-functional engineering activities, the Instrumentation specialist is expert for the instrumentation and control interface with other disciplines, and reports hierarchically to the Engineering Management and Digital Transformation responsible.


Your main missions will be as follows:
Selectanddevelopinstrumentation,controlandprocesssafetysystemsforprojects.

Ensure Technical interface with the client to meet Axens' needs in instrumentation and control for proposal of projects.


Find instrumentation and process control solutions on Piping & instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs) and process flow diagrams (PFD) within the framework of Projects and participate on review meetings on request.


Solve technical issues related to instrumentation and process control defined by Axens during start up or operation, shut down, participates on remote or on site (depending on criticality level and customer demand).

Takingintoaccount of return of experienceoninstrumentation and process control material, especially coming from start upreports.

Contribute to the development and update of the technical referential book related to instrumentation discipline (Internal instruction, standards.)

Contribute to the development of internal tools where instrumentation is involved (sizing tools, etc ).

Contribute to the qualification of instrumentation suppliers for equipment qualified or recommended by Axens.


Pilot and assist the testing of instrumentation equipment (valves and others) provided by Axens, by the clients, including the issuance and update of associated test procedure and reports.


Assume the role of Axens Interlocutor for EXERA with participation in technical committees in accordance with Axens' needs and technological guidelines.

Animate training courses for Process Engineers regarding instrumentation, valves, safety (SIF) and control.

Knowledge and Required Level:
Graduated engineer specializedinInstrumentation and process Control.

You have excellent knowledge of Instrumentation and control and you have been working on Engineering design and procurement (EPC).

10 years in instrumentation and process control activities preferably in the Oil & Gas engineering sector,

Experience of working within installation and commissioning activities is an advantage.

Astrong sense of support combinedwith communication easeandaspiritofanalysis

Sense of curiosity to maintain his skills on developping Axens' Business,

Fluent technical English (written, spoken) and French is appreciate.

You are a force of proposal and know how to decide and defend your choices with your interlocutors.
This position requires short-term international travels (Around 15% of your activity).
