Context
GET will modernize and strengthen the unity of our group in order to deliver our One Engie strategy. GET is a Group transformation improving our processes, not just rationalizing ERP systems.


GET Data Architect is an IT professional responsible for defining the procedures, models and technologies to be used in collecting, organizing, storing and accessing data related to GET It landscape.

The position is not a database architect.

He will report to GET Core model Deployment Manager, hence being N-2 to GET IT Lead


Responsibilities:


  • Data architect is the bridge between business operations and IT: business operations collect and use the data, while IT acquires, stores and retrieves that information from database resources, within the technology architecture established by GET Enterprise Architect
  • Work alongside SAP Solution Architects and the Business design authority to agree overall design
  • Provides the lead role in the design of the Future systems Operating Model in regard to data
  • Develop the Blueprint/ Roadmap during the Design Stage with focus on data
  • Ensures coherence of new business process changes from a Data perspective
  • Serve as a Subject Matter Expert for systems that support new or changed business processes identified during Design
  • Coordinates & validates that crosssystem business processes will function efficiently
  • Provide feeds into SAP ERP Program Design stage
  • The primary skills required lie in the translation of business requirements and business operations practices into data collection and management policies.
  • Experience in the field of enterprise architecture (EA) is helpful.
  • SAP ERP Business Process Analysis capability
  • Understanding the process of translating business requirements and processes into data collection and usage principles.
  • High level knowledge of the way Engie business produces and consumes data. Further knowledge can be acquired on the job if the time to accomplish that is available.
  • Specific technical skills required of data architects include knowledge of the following:
  • various database models and how they are best used.
- principles of data management and database access and management.
- enterprise's IT environment, including the current use of any database products, APIs, query languages and public cloud computing.
