Role Purpose


The Manager - Finance Strategy Execution & Control supports the HBEU and HBCE Finance Heads of Strategy Execution and Change Delivery in the activities and operational responsibilities required to manage the HBEU and HBCE Finance functions and their transition to strategic target operating model.

In particular, this includes organization and resource planning and cost control, Financial & Resources Planning (FRP) and budgeting, recruitment support, coordination of people engagement activities and communication.

The role holder will collaborate closely with Strategic Cost Management team in order to strengthen & standardize HBCE Finance cost monitoring process for greater alignment into overall HBCE costs management as well as HBEU's


The role holder is also responsible for maintenance of the function's compliance with non-financial risk control framework requirements, in line with up to date governance received from Chief Control Officer and Compliance in particular with respect to intercompany Transfer Pricing controls and Third Party Risk Management.


They role holder is first line Finance contact for the other functions and global teams, which involves frequent interaction in English.


The role reports to the HBCE Finance Head of Transformation and Change Delivery, with additional functional responsibility to the HBEU Finance Head of Strategy Execution and Change Delivery for wider HBEU matters.

The role integrates the management of a team of 2 to 3 persons.

Key responsabilities across HBEU / HBCE Finance:

  • Support the HBCE & HBEU Heads of Transformation and Change Delivery in achieving the future Finance Target Operating Model and benefits realization
  • Detailed budget and resource/FTE monitoring, forecasting, variance analysis and clear decision support to monthly HBCE and HBEU Cost committees
  • Bottomup Financial & Resources Planning (FRP) development and tracking
  • Monitoring and optimization of costs including interco / interfunction recharges
  • Supporting Finance teams in recruitment process
  • Coordinate implementation of effective controls consistent with Group guidelines for Non-Financial Risk, in particular Third Party risk, Anti bribery & Corruption, Cyber risk, Identity and Access management
  • Implementation and coordination of controls over Transfer Pricing for Finance function intercompany recharges
  • Process streamlining and centralization/standardization (inclusion of HBCE new subsidiaries/ branches, control & analysis streamlining within HBCE entities )
  • Nonfinancial risk management, regulatory regulations, procedures and reorganizations
  • Facilitating communication within Finance teams and with other functions
