Senior Technician – Operations

The Asset Management function within Altrad Babcock is a highly specialised engineering service and equipment provider supporting our customers to minimise cost, maximise return and mitigate risk through their asset's integrity lifecycle.

The Operations function within our Asset Management business sector provides technical support across a wide range of projects and a diverse customer base.

We currently have requirements for senior technicians to join our mission of delivering certified Asset Management service, consultancy, and integrated projects, across the global low carbon energy and infrastructure markets.

As a senior technician, you will have a proven track record of providing technical support in the field of Asset Management, as well as having technical expertise in a transferrable skillset.

You will lead the oversight and operation of equipment and facilities within our Renfrew base or on our customer sites as specified by the Operations Leader. Depending on your experience these may include leading technical input on projects requiring the operation closed loop control test machines, ensuring that these are always properly maintained, calibrated and fit-for-purpose, while adhering to company procedures and systems (including quality, safety, environment, administration, security). Alternatively, you may be the lead point of contact on our customer sites, representing the company and being responsible for setting teams of technicians to work in line with site permit requirements, safe systems of work and company procedures.

Additionally, you will be required to produce customer reports detailing works carried out on customer projects, analysing the data generated and ensuring that such reports are issued on time and to the required level of quality.

You will be expected to fully contribute and lead the development of safe systems of work relevant to your area of expertise.

All this experience should be supported by either an apprenticeship with recognised qualification such as SVQ, ONC or City and Guilds in Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering.
