Position

Senior Group Compensation and Benefits manager

Organization

  • Direct Supervisor: Group VP Compensation & Benefits
  • Functional Supervisor: HR Business Group (as Business Group C&B)

Context & Purpose

  • Nexans has begun its strategic shift from a general cable player to a pureplayer in the electricity industry. This shift implies a stronger agility of the organization. In this context, the role of the Compensation & Benefits department is to structure and adapt Nexans' remuneration policies to the new stakes.
  • The position covers both Corporate scope and expertise for the entire group and business partnership for a dedicated Business Group.
  • The Senior Group Compensation & Benefits manager is responsible for rollingout out the Nexans Compensation & Benefits policies across the Group. As Business Group partner, he/she is responsible for providing a first class C&B advice and support to support business challenges within Corporate guidelines.

Areas of reponsibilityCorporate (60% to 70% of working time)**- The Senior Compensation & Benefits Managers is the referent of long term incentive, equity and profit programs at Corporate level

Long Term Incentive (Complexity :
High)

  • Actively contributes to the design of the Group Long Term incentive programs.
  • Formalizes and update the Group Long Term Incentive policy.
  • Manages and coordinates the annual Long Term Incentive process from grants to vesting.
  • Ensures the communication related to the LTI plans to Employees (at grant, at vesting)
  • Monitors ongoing plans with internal partners (HR-Finance) and external partners (Banks, auditors)
  • Manages vesting projects
  • Coordinates with local HR payroll obligations for tax withholding
  • Supports annual URD preparation and contributes to prepare investor roadshows.
  • Responsible, with finance, for the valuation of Long Term Incentive plans.
  • Is the key contact for the LTI beneficiaries.

Employee Shareholding program (Complexity :
Very High)

  • Actively contributes to the design of the Group Long Term incentive programs
  • Manages the Group Employee Shareholding implementation project every 2 years
  • Ensures the compliance of proposed shareholding plans with local regulations.
  • Monitors ongoing plans with internal partners (HR-Finance) and external partners (Banks, auditors)
  • Manages plans termination after 5 years.
  • Coordinates with local HR payroll obligations for tax withholding
  • Supports annual URD preparation and contributes to prepare investor roadshows.

Employee Shareholding program (Complexity :
Very High)

  • Actively contributes to the design of the Group Long Term incentive programs
  • Manages the Group Employee Shareholding implementation project every 2 years
  • Ensures the compliance of proposed shareholding plans with local regulations.
  • Monitors ongoing plans with internal partners (HR-Finance) and external partners (Banks, auditors)
  • Manages plans termination after 5 years.
  • Coordinates with local HR payroll obligations for tax withholding
  • Supports annual URD preparation and contributes to prepare investor roadshows.
Profit sharing (France)

  • Contributes to profit sharing (Participation / Intéressement) agreement review in coordination with Local HR teams (Coordination France).
  • Supports in preparing simulations.
  • Ensures consistency between the Group Employee saving plan and employee shareholding plans.
  • Manages the relationship with the bank, monitors movements of employees and assets
  • Works with the payroll Shared Service, Finance & HR to prepare participation / intéressement evaluation and payment campaigns
Other C&B corporate programs

  • Contributes to the design other C&B programs with his/her Corporate C&B peers.

Business Group (30% to 40% of working time)
The Senior Group Compensation & Benefits Manager

  • Rollsout the annual compensation campaigns ( Annual Salary Review, Objectives / Bonus settings, evaluation and payout, Long Term Incentive grants and vesting) in his/her Business Group and in coordination with the HR of the Business Group.
  • Ensure a proper communication and understanding of the Group Compensation & Benefits policies to HR, managers and employees.
