Autonomous vehicles will drive millions of kilometers in the virtual world before the first driverless cars hit the road. ANSYS is building the simulation software toolchain to demonstrate safety in the virtual world prior to commercial deployment.
As part of its development, ANSYS is recruiting a Senior Software Engineer. Integrated within a team of developers, you participate in the development of architecture and infrastructure of our product.

This mainly covers functionalities such as the integration of physical sensor simulations, and virtual worlds, as well as live interoperability with external softwares in a scalable simulation platform.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Your main responsibilities will be to:

  • Develop our SW product in collaboration with your team.
  • Participate in design specification, work breakdown and backlog effort estimation.
  • Develop automated tests.
  • Participate in the writing of technical documentation.
  • Demonstrate the work of the team.
  • Collaborate with the teams dedicated to product quality, software documentation and customer support.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • You are a graduate from an engineering school or university with a master's degree with software engineering skills with at least 3 years of work experience in SW products development in industrial context.
  • You have solid experience in C++ and C# programming with good knowledge of best practices (Design Patterns, SOLID principles, Unit Tests, Mocks...).
  • You have at least basic experience in Python & Matlab / Simulink
  • Scientific background with knowledge of driving simulation software or ADAS sensors technologies is a strong advantage.
  • Knowledge of LINUX environments.
  • You have already used code versioning software, ticketing systems (Git, Azure Devops...) and dependency management systems (NuGet...), basics of DevOps, CI/CD.
  • As the position is in an international context, a good level of English
  • Is a plus: knowledge of data exchange protocols (Protobuf, gRPC, JSON, or equivalent...).
  • Is a plus: knowledge of asynchronism, multithreading, interprocess and intermachine communication.
