Renault Trucks International is a Sales Area in charge of all International markets outside Europe.

Within Africa & LAPAC Market, we are now looking for
a Business developer for Mining segment.

In this role, you will be in charge to develop the sales in the mining segment, responsible to prospect Major and mid-size mining companies, and their major subcontractors.

  • You will be responsible to promote our Heavy duty trucks and services offer towards these companies, building an offer that will provide them with the best uptime, profitability, carbon savings and safety.
  • You will secure brand image position, customer value through transport solutions and ensure the optimal short and long term business results. You will secure profitability of sales.
  • You will be in close contact with our Importers in the different countries to exchange information and ensure coordination with local relays.
  • You will report to the International Key Account Director.

The main activities will be:


  • To prospect and find new customers: identify relevant contacts, follow up on leads, build appropriate offers adapted to the customer's needs.
  • To take a cross functional leader role. Ensure coordination within Renault Trucks enlarged organization.
  • To develop partnership and 360° approach with your prospects / customers (integrate vehicle offer, maintenance offer, financing, technical support, training, fleet management,). Secure customer satisfaction.
  • To monitor and follow up project information: identify business opportunities and enable sales of relevant products.
  • To answer any demand from customers on vehicles (commercial and technical demands).
  • To develop and promote sales concept with selling points for sustainable transport solution.
  • To negotiate standalone deals or frame agreements, depending on customers.

Main KPIs are:


  • Customer base development: New partnerships created / New customers.
  • Sales volume (orders and invoices).
  • Margin / Gross profit.

Critical competencies for the position:


  • Extensive experience with Mining segment. MANDATORY.
  • Ideally issued from Truck or Heavy Equipment industry.
  • Strong commercial knowledge. Experience in prospection and negotiation.
  • Customer and businessoriented mindset
  • Creativity.
  • Ability to work within crossfunctional organization.
  • Communication and presentation skills, including strong personal credibility and integrity.
  • Technical knowledge.
  • Organization skills.
  • Proficient in English and French.
The position requires extensive travels (estimated 50% of the time) and is ideally based in Lyon, France.
