As part of our Alstom Digital & Integrated Systems activity, the Saint-Ouen Development Centre is in charge of designing the main Alstom Urban CBTC

Signaling Solutions:

Urbalis 400, a system deployed on more than 100 projects worldwide, and Urbalis Fluence, our latest and most innovative Urban Signaling System.

System team is at the crossroad between all development and project engineering activities.

As such, System Engineers are in charge of the System Design and Architecture:

Interface with project engineering teams to understand customer needs and propose safe, efficient, and optimized designs, as well as contribute to the solution deployment;
Interface with subsystems, software and products/hardware development teams to coordinate the design proposal, and evaluate technical tradeoffs and risks;
Interface with Verification & Validation teams, Safety teams, Quality, Reliability Availability Maintenability teams in order to explain the technical solution, and adjust the design according to their analyses.

Organisational Reporting
Within the framework of our ADM activity (*), in the Urbalis 400 Signaling Program, you will manage ATC Sub-System Validation (**) within a validation team (functional validation on real equipment)

(*) : Alstom Digital mobility

(**) : Automatic Train Control

Within our engineering department (R&D), you will report to the V&V Group manager U400

For one Subsystem, in a SIL4 context, in a validation team composed of one on-shore part (Saint-Ouen) & one off-shore part (Bangalore India), you will be in charge of:

Analyze Functional specification, verify coherency & traceability
Perform impact analysis & determine set of tests to create / replay as nonregression
Define tests cases & write test procedures ensuring optimal coverage of functional requirement.
Configure Tests Bench (Hw equipment & simulator)
Develop test scripts, implement & execute tests, analyze results & record defects, investigate on critical problems
Put validation work products under configuration management
Write Validation report
Contribute to External assessment phase & audit
Contribute to workload estimation
Provide data to maintain KPIs defined at program/project level and by applicable processes.
Provide valuable feedback for REX Sessions and continuous improvement.

In this role you will be in interface:

With our validation off-shore team (Bangalore) and other on-shore team members (Saint-Ouen)
team work on current activities
With the V&V leader for activity scope & planning
With other "métier" (technical, process, QCD topics) Sub-System & Software designers, Verification & Safety Engineer and Program manager

Performance Measurement

Test session executed on time, in line with deadlines & productivity objectives defined by the V&V leader
Ensures requirements traceability versus test, no coverage issue
Quality of technical analyses & documentation
Initiatives & suggestions to improve Test mean, process & methodology
Compliance with applicable processes & standard (no deviation)

Technical Knowledge / Experience

Graduate in Engineering (Electric, Electronic, Computer science or equivalent)
0 to 3 years experience in validation activities, preferably on industrial products having reliability or safety constraints.
Experience in Railways/Signaling domain is an asset.
