About the Role
The Insurance Product Management L&H team consists of 10 colleagues based across 6 locations in Europe.
As an Insurance Product Manager for life and health business, based in Paris, you will contribute to the end-to-end protection product lifecycle, from initial concept to development/design and implementation of the product and any related services, followed by regular reviews of - and enhancements to - existing products.
In the Paris office, which has 11 people, you will support the Distribution team and the Senior Insurance Product Manager for France to co-create propositions with prospective clients and enhance products for existing clients, as well as play a key role in business performance steering.
Client management skills are a prerequisite for the role, where you will be required to build and maintain relationships with distribution partners in France.
Working with our tight-knit cross functional teams you will liaise with various functional experts including Pricing, Underwriting, Claims, Finance, Compliance, Legal, Operations, Valuations and Risk Management.
Your main responsibilities will be to:
- Support product design and development with a strong focus on innovation, customer value and risk management
- Produce deliverables such as detailed product specifications, customer suitability document and risk assessments for protection products in line with IDD and other regulatory requirements
- Conduct product testing, where this includes initial validation of the product concept through customer research as well as preimplementation product testing
- Support the development and maintenance of customerorientated product literature in line with operational processes, system functionality and regulatory requirements
- Conduct regular inforce product reviews with a focus on balancing commercial and customer value
About You
We expect you to be:
- An actuary and/or a protection product expert, with 35 years' experience in the L&H protection market in France.
- Knowledgeable about protection insurance and experienced in the technical implementation of solutions and products
- Knowledge about Credit Protection Insurance products is a plus
- Client centric with experience working with external clients/distributors
- Fluent in English and French
- Proficient in MS Excel
- A team player who is passionate about the success of the business
- Comfortable in a dynamic, fastmoving, and international environment
